Located on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada range in Carson Valley, 30 minutes from Lake Tahoe and 1 hr. south of Reno, Nevada. Carson Valley Clays is a 70 member private facility 7 miles south of Gardnerville, Nevada with a Trap and Skeet field featuring a 5-Stand. A 15 station Sporting Clays course winds it's way through the mountainous terrain, offering all the challenge a shotgunner could ask for.
A number of "open to the public" Sporting Clays events, NSCA included, are held throughout the spring and summer season. Leagues are held February through August in 6 week intervals. JULY
Carson Valley Clays Presents: The ninth annual deflate your ego .410 shoot.
The date is Saturday July 19, 2008 and is open to all. The shoot will consist of 125 registered sporting clays, This is a money shoot with $10.00 of each entry fee returned to the shooters. Entrance fee is $60.00 and includes a steak lunch. HOA will receive an additional prize. Juniors (under 21) will be able to shoot for a fee of only $30.00 and will be eligible for all money in class as well as a junior prize to top gun. All ties will be decided by shoot offs from a station of the clubs choice. All shooters must be present to win. Non- registered shooters are welcome to shoot in hunter class. Winner of hunter class will receive a free membership in NSCA. This shoot is the first half of the small bore weekend. See details of the 20/28 gauge shoot on Sunday.
Second Half Of The little gun weekend. 20ga 28ga event 20 July
The event is 100 registered sporting clays targets and the gun of your choice. Those wishing to register targets only are welcome to shoot a 12 gauge but will not be considered in the event. Cost is $60.00 and includes lunch and $5.00 back to the shooters. Juniors (under 21) may shoot for #20.00. All ties will be shot off from a station of the clubs choosing. No money or prizes will be mailed. You must be present to win.
